Energy Star Homes are more efficient and achieve energy savings through established, reliable building technologies. Your new home will be at least 15% more energy efficient than non Energy Star homes.

Properly installed insulation in walls and ceilings ensures less energy consumption and will keep heat in the winter and out during the summer for increased comfort while saving you money.

Energy efficient Low-E windows employ advanced technologies to help keep your home energy efficient. The advanced coatings also help block damaging ultraviolet sunlight that can discolor carpets and furnishings.

Sealing the holes and cracks in your new home's envelope; and the HVAC Duct system will reduce drafts, moisture, dust, pollen and noise. A tightly sealed home improves comfort and indoor air quality while reducing your utility bills. Additionally, Magnolia Homes utilizes an independent inspector to test the entire HVAC system to ensure that it is performing at its optimum level of efficiency. Very few builders build homes that can pass this test.

The heating and cooling system in your new home will use less energy, and can be quieter, reduce indoor humidity, and improve the overall comfort of your home. Typically, energy efficient equipment is also more durable and requires less maintenance than standard equipment.

Your new ENERGY STAR HOME will include Whirlpool Energy Star Qualified Appliances. We will use energy saving compact fluorescent bulbs and fixtures where appropriate to provide additional energy savings for you.

The ENERGY STAR HOMES we build are inspected by an independent third party inspection Company to ensure that each home is a qualified ENERGY STAR home. Visit the Jacksonville Building Science website here: www.jaxbuildingscience.com

Did you know that a typical home can cause twice the greenhouse gas emission of a typical car?
Each Energy Star qualified home can keep 4,500 pounds of greenhouse gases out of the air each year. And because the Magnolia concrete block homes have such a long life span, this environmental benefit will last for many, many years.
